“Art is not what you see but what you make others see.”
Libby Johnson is a multidisciplinary artist in the fields of music, writing, and dance. She earned her B.S. in kinesiology from the University of MN. As a dance educator she specializes in modern dance technique and choreographs for various projects, local schools, universities, ministries, and churches. Her work has been performed at the MN Fringe Festival, Project Dance NYC, and YWAM School of Dance Montana and Kona. With a greater vision to create a “home” for creatives to find soul care and community, Libby launched Vivid Artistry in 2018 as an arts collective creating spiritually formative resources through embodied artistic expressions. Since then, Libby has hosted retreats, workshops, written a Lent series, and choreographed for video and live performances. Her writing has been published by Square Halo Publishing and Revelations of the Artist ministry. She has completed the Brehm Center artist residency at Fuller Seminary and serves as a creative consultant for her church. A singer/songwriter as well, Libby has released two albums of original music, Into the Deep and Reveal the Gold, which can be found here. In 2017 she also launched the podcast, “Art & Faith Conversations” to highlight more voices of Christian professional artists and encourage others in their spiritual and creative identity. . Libby resides in St. Paul, MN, with her husband, three teenage daughters, and their pups, Dakota and Sage.
