Libby Johnson is a multidisciplinary artist in the fields of music, writing, and dance. She earned her B.S. in kinesiology from the University of MN. As a dance educator she specializes in modern dance technique and choreographs for various projects, local schools, universities, ministries, and churches. Her work has been performed at the MN Fringe Festival, Project Dance NYC, and YWAM School of Dance Montana and Kona. Libby founded Vivid Artistry as an arts collective creating spiritually formative resources through embodied artistic expressions. Since its launch in 2018, Libby has hosted retreats, workshops, written for devotional series, and choreographed for video and live performances. Her writing has been published by Square Halo Publishing and Revelations of the Artist ministry. She has completed the Brehm Center artist residency at Fuller Seminary and serves as a creative consultant for her church. A singer/songwriter as well, Libby has released two albums since 2017 which can be found on all digital music platforms. In 2017 she also launched the podcast, “Art & Faith Conversations” to highlight more voices of professional artists of faith and encourage others in their search for deeper meaning in their spiritual and creative identity. Vivid Artistry began as part of a larger vision to be a home for creatives to find soul care and community. Libby has a heart for merging the arts and faith to help others connect with God. Libby recently took on a new role as house manager of The Boulevard theater and is excited to bring more artists to the stage for God’s glory. She resides in St. Paul, MN, with her husband, three teenage daughters, and their pups, Dakota and Sage.
